Two years ago, I formed a company name in my head- Hockey Is My Country Club™ LLC. It stemmed from our son's rigorous travel hockey schedule slowly pulling us away from our club's numerous events over the years. When friends would ask why I wasn't around the club anymore, I would joke, "Hockey is my country club"- Same fees. Same social life. Just colder with a hockey glove smell and the Zamboni driver flex.
Concurrently, I thought about the first product to launch under the business umbrella, and paired up with our 16UAA travel hockey son (the Mensch) to design and create Rinkside Mahjong™.
We are excited to drop something unique for the hockey & mahjong communities as the puck drops on a new NHL season.

The idea came to life in hotel lobbies during travel hockey weekends, blending the rich, traditional structure of American mahjong with bespoke, original artwork celebrating our hockey world. Every single tile face has been thoughtfully custom-designed to tell a story—from Goalie Jokers and Skate Craks to Ref Winds and tournament-life Flowers.
